Anyone who has followed Station 17 over the past two and a half decades, knows that the only constant in this band is change. To develop, to test limits - That's what it was always, since the band was founded in 1989 as a project of a housing group in Hamburg, Germany. Eight official albums released since then, and Station 17 emancipated itself ever further from the spirit of the pure creative-social project, grew into an important formation in the area of experimental indie rock.
Now Station 17 has made a pop album. For one and a half years the band has worked in changing work units to bring this new level of songwriting in harmony with the attitude of the completely free making music. "Station 17 was always an experimental band - I think this is thet why we still exist, even after twenty-five years - and now pure pop is our experimental draft." declares Christian Fleck, the second producer of the album, next to Alexander Tsitsigias.
